Program Information
Degree Offered
M.S.-Finance (Part-time Program)
Program Description:
The part-time MSF program is primarily an evening program for experienced professionals seeking expertise in finance. Some MSF students are already in finance and wish to acquire advanced skills. Others, for example general managers or engineers, plan to transition into finance-related positions.
The MSF degree is rapidly gaining popularity in the US and abroad because it is shorter than the MBA (10 courses instead of the typical 16) and provides greater depth in finance. The Brandeis MSF is a practical, broad-gauged degree with a focus on global markets. Its curriculum covers many of the topics that also appear on the Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA) exam.
Who is the MSF for?
The Brandeis MSF is designed for the working professional and attracts sophisticated, collegial participants. Part-time MSF students will receive up to $200 per course for required books. Parking on campus is free after 5:00 pm. Courses are offered in the evenings, Monday through Thursday, 6:30-9:30. Students can begin their studies in any semester, but all else equal, summer entry works best for course scheduling. Students complete the program at their own pace, with a typical schedule taking 18-20 months.
