M.A.;, Ph.D.

Program Description:

The Graduate Program in Criminal Justice operates within the framework of a liberal arts education. The curriculum is designed to help students develop a range of skills which will be readily applicable to a variety of work settings and roles. The guiding philosophy of the program is that students who develop high levels of analytical, communication and organizational skills will be prepared for the broad range of tasks that are likely to confront them in their future occupations. Whereas rapid social change would make a narrowly technical education quickly obsolete, the skills developed by the graduate of this program will make that graduate highly adaptable to changing occupational demands.
