Program Description:

Founded in 1918/1919, the Boston University School of Social Work is an urban-focused graduate program which prepares and develops highly trained, flexible professional social workers and leaders in an increasingly diverse and complex society. The School's practice-oriented and academically rigorous programs provide the skills required for leadership in a challenging and changing society. Students benefit from a pioneering curriculum that utilizes a broad approach to social and personal problems and teaches the differential use of social work methods. Over the past seven decades, the School has prepared nearly 7,000 social work professionals for caregiving roles with individuals, families, groups, communities, and institutions.
