Program Description:

The MA in Bioimaging is an academic program at the intersection of physical, computer and medical sciences. The goal of the program is to prepare students for a broad range of professional and academic career paths in the growing field of imaging.

The MA in Bioimaging is an academic program with a multidisciplinary faculty from the Departments of Anatomy/Neurobiology, BioPhysics and Radiology. It is the only program in the country that has been developed to train individuals in the theoretical basis, mechanics, application and interpretation of imaging tools that can be applied to either a research or clinical setting. The goal of the program is to prepare students for career paths in academia, bio-medical instrumentation industries, health care, government or private research centers. A self-contained curriculum has been designed so that full-time students can complete the Master's degree in one calendar year. Part-Time study options are available. Courses are offered in the late afternoon and early evening. The curricula consists of academic course work and hands-on training in a wide range of imaging modalities i.e. CT, PET, SPECT, MRI, US and TMS.
