Program Description:
The Boston University Program in Human Development provides doctoral training in human psychology along the entire life span, with a special focus on the ways in which individuals affect and are affected by the contexts in which they live. Collectively, the Program faculty provide expertise and training in infancy, early and middle childhood, adolescence, young, middle, and late adulthood. A shared focus across faculty is on the interplay between individual and contextual factors. The traditional subdisciplines of developmental, personality, and social psychology provide the basic structure of the training program. Specialization within or across these subdisciplines is also possible and encouraged.
