Program Description:

Boston University's graduate forensic program is FEPAC accredited and designed to train individuals in the field of forensic sciences. Aside from being the first of its kind at a major medical institution in the United States, the M.S. program in Forensic Science is unique in the ways in which it is delivered.
Faculty from Boston University Schools of Medicine and Law, as well as city, state and federal forensic laboratories and agencies make Boston University's Forensic Sciences Program a leader in forensic education. The faculty possess extensive experience in casework and courtroom settings in all fields of forensic science - including, but not limited to - arson and explosives; medico-legal death; DNA; forensic biology; trace analysis; pattern analysis; toxicology and law. Dr. Robin Cotton, a DNA expert who has testified in over 200 cases - including various high-profile cases - is the program director.
The high level of graduate education available from our courses and research opportunities will qualify graduates to work as forensic scientists, forensic DNA analysts, death investigators and crime scene responders at the local, state and federal levels.

International Students must submit TOEFL results. After receiving your acceptance letter from the admissions department in your graduate school or college, international students will be required to submit to the admissions office a completed International Student Data Form (ISDF) along with financial documents that demonstrate their ability to pay for expenses at Boston University.
