M.M. - Master of Music in Musical Theater

Program Description:

The Master of Music in Musical Theater has been developed to address the growing vocal demands of musical theater today. This degree is open to applicants from a variety of musical and theatrical backgrounds. However, an emphasis on good musicianship skills and musical theater performance is integral to the program. Thedegree combines comprehensive voice training and vocal coaching with advanced acting aesthetics and techniques as applied to the diverse genres of musical theater. Courses in cultural perspectives explore musical theater as an art form in the context of historical development and contemporary events.
