Program Description:

This program provides an opportunity for individuals to pursue three different master of science programs. The Master of Science in Special Education is for those who hold certification in special education. It is intended to improve the competence of the students work for further graduate work in the field of special education. The Master of Science in Exceptionalities is for professionals who are not currently teaching in the special education field, but who work in a support group (nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, counselors, etc.) and wish to expand their knowledge and develop new skills for working with the exceptional person. Certification in Special Education may also be pursued through the Master of Science in Exceptionalities program as an option.
