The Program builds on over twenty years of research, teaching, publication and conference activity in the field of interdisciplinary world studies. As a result of the international reputation the university has established in this area, it has attracted faculty, as well as graduate students, to programs and departments in both the humanities and the social sciences whose common interest is in both historical and contemporary research
