Program Information
Degree Offered
Postbaccalaureate Certificate
Format: Campus
Program Description:
Bennington's Postbaccalaureate Premedical Program has concentrated on giving students the best science education possible. Based on student participation in the classroom and close individual attention, Bennington's educational philosophy is that you learn science by doing science. Academically rigorous, the small, seminar style classes encourage the development of scientific inquiry and problem-solving through the formulation of research questions and the completion of research projects. The postbac program is for students who have excelled in an undergraduate program in an area other than science and now wish to acquire the prerequisites necessary to apply to medical and other health-related professional schools. Postbac students are both recent college graduates and experienced professionals from many backgrounds. The one-year program begins and ends in June on Bennington's southwestern campus.
