Program Description:
Barry University's School of Social Work in Miami Shores, Florida, offers many options of study. Barry offers the only accelerated MSW program in the country -- you can earn your MSW in four semesters! If you begin in the fall, you can end the next fall. The School of Social Work also offers an Advanced Standing Program. If you have earned a Bachelor of Social Work within the last five years from an institution accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, you can earn your MSW in less than one year. You can also choose from full-time and part-time options offered at the Miami Shores main campus, or part-time options offered in Palm Beach Gardens. The School also offers a five-year seamless BSW to MSW program. Barry's curriculum focuses on high-quality classroom instruction supported by valuable opportunities for field education. Barry's South Florida location provides an economically diverse and multicultural practice environment. As an MSW student, you have more than 300 internship sites to choose from, including public schools, hospitals, mental health facilities, and child welfare agencies. Barry's School of Social Work is committed to making your education accessible. You may qualify for $7,000 to $9,000 per academic year in addition to other scholarships. In fact, more than 85 percent of social work graduate students receive a merit-based scholarship or tuition discount from the School.
