Program Description:
Barry University's College of Health Sciences in Miami Shores, Florida, offers a Master of Science in Anesthesiology program designed for registered nurses who wish to become nurse anesthetists. The science-based curriculum will help you develop your expertise in anesthesiology, pharmacology, and physiology, as well as a broad understanding of the U.S. health care system and advanced practice. Eligibility Requirements:
A current, unrestricted license as a professional registered nurse in the United States; an unrestricted Florida license must be obtained prior to program start (must be maintained throughout program); current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); please check the program Web site for additional requirements
International Student Requirements:
A minimum score of 550 on the paper-based Test of English as a Foreign Language, 213 on the computer-based TOEFL, or 79 on the Internet-based TOEFL, if you do not give evidence of being a native English speaker or have not graduated from an institution in which English is the language of instruction
