Program Description:

Bank Street's Leadership programs are designed for both current leaders and those aspiring to such roles. Each program identifies and examines leadership skills, the relationship between leadership behavior and the quality of life in schools and educational institutions, and the kinds of knowledge and attitudes that are necessary to respond to the changing and challenging needs of a pluralistic society. Programs also address current realities and emerging trends in the areas of administration, policy, research, and supervision. Depending on which leadership program is completed, graduates of are eligible for New York State certification as a School Building Leader (N-12) or School District Leader. Several programs are offered in a summer program of study format. Programs include: Leadership for Educational Change (option for Special Education focus) Early Childhood Leadership Leadership in the Arts: School Leadership and the Visual Arts Leadership in the Arts: School Leadership and Creative Writing Leadership in Mathematics Education Leadership in Community-Based Learning Leadership in Museum Education
