Program Description:
Auburn's Master of Accountancy (MAc) Program is a professional non-thesis degree program requiring 30 semester hours of coursework. The program is offered both on-campus and via distance learning. The MAc provides a broad-based business education focusing on integrating the various disciplines within the profession, enhancing analytical and critical thinking skills, enhancing written and oral communication skills, and understanding the global nature of the accounting profession. Particular emphasis is given to the development of technology skills and the ability to assess business risk and performance. The curriculum offers students the flexibility to tailor their graduate education to meet specific career goals and objectives. Students take only four core accounting courses. In addition, they choose three accounting electives and three business electives.
