Program Description:

The primary goal of this advanced course is to equip students with an integrated set of theoretical and practical skills that will allow them to make an effective contribution to the acquisition, analysis and exploitation of knowledge. This will enable graduates to take active roles in the development and deployment of knowledge-based systems within a commercial or industrial organisation.There is an increasing awareness in government and industry that knowledge is a key organisational resource crucial to the development of a successful organisation and economy. This advanced MSc course has been developed to meet the needs of industry in this increasingly important area. The programme will provide graduates, who already have a computing background, with the specialist skills required for working in a modern knowledge-based organisation where the environment is information-intensive.
