Program Description:

The field of neural computing has been plagued by an inappropriate ad hoc approach, particularly in applications. Therefore, this programme emphasises the insight that a good theoretical understanding provides and the advantages of a principled approach to data analysis. The subject of the programme is interdisciplinary in nature, as it requires mathematics, statistics and computing skills. Students from a wide range of backgrounds in engineering and the numerate sciences have benefited from the programme. It is certain that, graduates from our research degrees have found employment very easily.
