Program Information
Degree Offered
Master of Arts in Design and Media Management
Format: Campus
Program Description:
Creative ideas build companies that innovate and impact our culture at-large. But those ideas - and the unique teams responsible for them - need leaders to help them reach their full potential. Getting the right management skills, strategic thinking, and entrepreneurial tools means you can foster and lead creative teams or build your own company - enhancing your earning potential along the way.
The Master of Arts in Design and Media Management was created to prepare graduates for professional opportunities in management at a variety of art and design enterprises. The curriculum was developed to address the critical management competencies and challenges of this evolving discipline through the study of theoretical management concepts and the application of professional skills.
The program has two areas of specialization: Design Management and Media Arts Management. Both specializations include a common foundation of six courses and four specialization courses. The program culminates in a capstone course for a total of forty-eight quarter hours. Don’t live in Dallas? Not a problem. This program is now offered at two off-campus learning sites in Austin and Houston. You’ll get the same access to faculty versed in the creative industry, rich case study discussion, and entrepreneurial leadership training you would at the Dallas campus, but closer to home.
