Program Description:
The MA in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling is a two-and-a-half to three-year, 62-credit master of arts degree. The program emphasizes the integration of the mind, body, and spirit through verbal and nonverbal approaches to therapy. Students are provided with coursework and clinical training in both dance/movement therapy and counseling psychology. Dance/Movement Therapy (DMT) incorporates hands-on clinical experience to complement classroom sessions. You complete supervised practica and internships in clinical settings to put your skills, knowledge, and talent to work.
