Program Description:

The Master of Education in School Administration program is designed for students interested in careers as public school administrators. Students who earn this degree will be eligible to take the Texas Examination of Educator Standards (TExES) for the Professional Certificate for Principals.

Students must complete a minimum of 39 semester credit hours of graduate work, including all academic requirements, and must submit proof of two years of classroom teaching experience to be eligible for the TExES Principal exam. All courses offered in the program are delivered through an online format for the convenience of the student.

Students who have received the Professional Certificate for Principals are eligible for the Superintendency Cohort program at ASU.
