Ed.S.-Education Specialist. This degree builds upon the master's degree and it can be a component of a Doctoral degree.

Program Description:

The specialist degree delves deeper into one's are of concentration and broadens the scope for more effective service. The Eds degree assumes that one has served in one or more areas of administration and is seeking a promotion or additional endorsements.This degree prepares personnel for leadership and specialized positions in education. It build upon the master's degree in providing a more focused program of study. In some cases the specialist program accommodates persons desiring career shifts and advancement in certification.

International Student Requirements:

If English is not the first language and/or not the language of instruction in secondary and post-secondary study,a minimum TOEFL score of 550 on the paper-based test or 213 in the computer based test, or a MELAB score of 80, is required.
