M.S. in Sustainability Management
Format: Campus
Program Description:
Today's sustainability buzz is tomorrow's business and public policy reality. The world needs business, nonprofit and government professionals able to wrestle with the sustainability challenges of the 21st century. Kogod's MSSM degree is designed to integrate business education with environmental science and public policy to prepare students who want to be part of the first generation of professionally-trained sustainability experts and managers.
The MSSM is the only interdisciplinary business-based degree of its kind in the country, and is offered by one of the greenest universities in the U.S. Students may choose to specialize in Business, Science, or Policy, and can complete the program on a full or part-time basis.
Graduates of the program will be well poised to successfully lead in developing and implementing multi-faceted solutions to environmental, societal, and other cross-sector problems in business organizations, nonprofits, foundations or government.
The MSSM can be completed on a full or part-time basis. If taken full-time, students can complete the program in four semesters and take nine to 12 credit hours per semester.
The program is 36 credit hours total. It builds on an interdisciplinary core that combines business, science, and policy before allowing students to specialize in their primary interest.
