Program Description:
The Master of Science in Chemistry features small research groups and classes and close student-faculty relationships. Students can design a course of study that allows them to upgrade current skills, or they can explore a new facet of chemistry. An M.S. degree in chemistry prepares graduate students for careers in various areas of research, development, education, and administration, or for further study at the doctoral level. The thesis requirement expands laboratory skills to give students better preparation for entry into the job market. The MS in Chemistry offers tracks in analytical and inorganic chemistry, biochemistry, and organic chemistry.
