Program Information
Degree Offered
Pre-Doctoral Action Research Program (PDARP)
Format: Campus
Program Description:
American International College designed its Pre-Doctoral Action Research Program for educators who wish to advance their careers and earn credits towards a doctorate in education without making the commitment of enrolling in a doctoral program. This 15-credit program earns its graduates a certificate, as well as the possibility of publication in a peer-reviewed scholarly journal on education.
For education professionals who are interested in a mentored action research project, this is also a great opportunity to add professional credentials and share their work and ideas with peers in the field.
This program is best suited to teachers, administrators, and grant writers, or other professionals holding at least a Master of Education degree, or one in a closely related field. The program emphasizes classroom-based action research. Completion of the program will mean a pay increase in some school districts,* and the credits earned can be applied towards a Doctor of Education degree at American International College.
