Program Description:
The American Graduate School of International Relations and Diplomacy is an American institution of higher education located in Paris, France, and accredited in the United States as an affiliated campus of Arcadia University (Philadelphia, PA). The language of instruction is English - no French is required to apply. The curriculum combines an academic disciplinary approach with professional training and hands-on practice, so that graduating students are fully prepared to enter high-level careers in international affairs. Courses are taught by accomplished scholars as well as practising professionals (diplomats, journalists…). The student body is very international, providing a multi-cultural classroom environment. Classes are small and allow for close student-professor interaction and individual attention to every student. In addition to the degree-programs listed below, AGSIRD offers a one-month intensive summer program focusing on French language and the history, politics, and diplomacy of France and Europe, and a choice of ten certificate programs (Peace and Conflict Resolution, International Economics, etc.) Most degree programs can be undertaken full-time or part-time and are open to both students having recently completed their undergraduate degree and professionals seeking knowledge or career advancement. AGSIRD alumni work in international organizations, NGOs, government, diplomacy as well as international business, counselling, journalism, or academics.
