Program Description:
Our program prepares teachers and supervisors to take leadership positions and helps candidates meet Pennsylvania certification requirements in K-12 educational administration.
The program’s curriculum prepares future educational leaders to interact successfully with students, teachers, parents, school board members, and the community at large. The Post Master's K-12 Principal Certification program has been developed to reflect the general standards and specific program guidelines prescribed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

The Program for Principal Certification is approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
Eligibility Requirements:
For consideration for acceptance applicants must submit the following: Completed application form accompanied by a non-refundable $50 application fee, Personal Statement, Official college/institution transcripts, Three letters of recommendation (not required for Principal Certification unless applying for the M.Ed. program with Principal Certification), Passing Praxis Scores (Appropriate Praxis Exams are required for Certification applicants.), and Academic or professional awards (not required, but encouraged).
Students enrolling in the Principal Certification Program are required to submit two evaluation forms provided by Alvernia University (one by a school superintendent and one by a school principal).
