Program Description:
The Marital and Family Therapy (MFT) masters and doctoral programs at Alliant provide students with the essential training needed to pursue a career as a professional marriage and family therapist. The Master of Arts in MFT allows students to be licensed as a marital and family therapist (MFT) and the Doctor of Psychology in MFT allows a student to be licensed as a marital and family therapist and as a psychologist. Students who complete the MFT masters at Alliant can apply all of their masters degree coursework and practicum hours toward the doctoral program.

Alliant International University is fully accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, an institutional accrediting body recognized by the US Department of Education. The Marital and Family Therapy programs are accredited by the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy Education's (AAMFT) Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE). International Student Requirements:
1. Official, translated transcripts and results from an educational credential evaluation service agency, including degree equivalency to a 4 year baccalaureate degree from an accredited university, US semester credit and grade equivalent for each course, and US grade point average.
2. English proficiency must be evidenced by TOEFL/TWE results.
