Program Description:
"A physician assistant is a health professional who exists primarliy to aid physicians in the care of patients, who work directly under the orders and supervision of a physician, and whose medical role is necessitated by the fact that patient loads are potentially too great for physicians to accommodate with the competent aid of adequately trained assistants."
The above definition of a Physician Assistant is but one definition, and one given by the Committee on Curriculum Development at Alderson-Broaddus College when the College was developing its Physician Assistant study program in the late 1960s. With new, state-of-the art training facilities, and outstanding and well-trained faculty, you will receive an excellent education in the Physician Assistant Studies Program at A-B College.
