Program Description:

Acadia UniversityÆs School of Education is at the leading edge of integrating instructional technology into learning environments. This expertise is reflected in our M. Ed. curriculum program concentrating on Learning and Technology. With this program, we seek to work with the broader community of educators to provide leadership on the integration and use of information technology in teaching and learning. The program is designed to critically explore how new technologies can be used effectively to enhance learning environments and prepare students for the future. The Learning and Technology concentration combines a solid background in curriculum with special consideration of rapidly emerging technologies. We provide educators with opportunities to make strong connections between coursework and the actual educational contexts in which they are involved. As a student in this program, you will be able to pursue your own interests through a project or a thesis, as well as specific courses that are intended to allow a high degree of flexibility and self direction.Our innovative delivery methods (including online courses and on-site extension) allow you to study at a time and place that is convenient for you.
