This expertise is reflected in our Special Education and Curriculum programs concentrating on Inclusive Education. Working with the broader community of educators, these programs are designed to encourage teachers to adopt leadership roles by critically exploring how inclusive educational practices can be used effectively to enhance learning environments for all students.The concentration of study in Inclusive Education combines a solid background in curriculum with special consideration of rapidly emerging practices. We provide educators with opportunities to make strong connections between the coursework and the actual educational contexts in which they are involved. As a student you will be able to pursue your own interests through a choice of program options, as well as specific courses that are intended to allow a high degree of flexibility and self direction leading to an increase in your teaching certification license.
