Program Description:

Have you always wanted a career in car, toy, modern furniture or product design? Do you want to be trained by designers who have shaped some of today’s hottest products? If so, you belong at the Academy of Art University's School of Industrial Design. Diversification within the Industrial Design curriculum allows for concentrations in transportation, product, toy and furniture design. Graduates work in the leading firms in the industry. We will teach you how to design the products of tomorrow - today.
Students from the School of Industrial Design have won numerous Industrial Design Excellence Awards. Academy students won 1st and 2nd place at the 2007 World Automotive Competition in Toronto and the Academy won the “Best School” Award.
In Spring 2007 alone, students earned internships from Teague, RKS Design, Lunar Design, and Hasbro.

Established in 1929, the university offers accredited AA, BFA, BA, M.Arch, MA and MFA programs in 14 areas of art and design emphasis. Students can also enroll in a flexible online degree program.
