Program Description:

At the Academy of Art University's School of Fine Art, your studies in paint, clay and metal are grounded in solid classical tradition. You'll learn discipline that will distinguish you for a lifetime. Then, with the skills and knowledge that made the masters who they are, you'll be taught and encouraged to let your imagination take flight.
You'll also learn how to get apprenticeships, find a rep before you graduate, present yourself, exhibit in a gallery, gain exposure and make a living. You'll learn not only art, but also the business of art. Graduate studios are available so you can sculpt without any distractions. Jewelry students have the opportunity to collaborate with Fashion Students to present works at the Academy of Art University Fashion Show

Established in 1929, the university offers accredited AA, BFA, BA, M.Arch, MA and MFA programs in 14 areas of art and design emphasis. Students can also enroll in a flexible online degree program.
