The interest in effective noise and vibration solutions is rapidly increasing in modern society. Numerous studies have documented that the stress level of humans can be related to noise in their environment. An important engineering challenge is, therefore, to minimize the emitted noise from machines and appliances. This task can only be accomplished by dedicated and innovative engineers with a thorough knowledge within the field of vibro-acoustics and noise. Vibro-acoustics covers a wide range of topics, from applied mathematics and mechanics to measuring techniques and signal processing. Students attending this programme are creating opportunities for an interesting career within a broad and challenging field.
