About the field of Speech-Language Pathology: Speech-Language Pathology is the study of speech and language disorders, and their diagnosis and correction. The field utilizes research methods and design in speech-language pathology and audiology. Students will learn about language disorders across the lifespan, fluency disorders, aural rehabilitation and ethics. They will study cognitive-communication disorders, as well as augmentive and alternative communication. Students will enhance their critical thinking, interpersonal, communication and clinical skills. Graduates can become audiologists, speech-language pathologists, researchers, speech-language pathology professors and more.
