Developmental psychology students gain an understanding of the entire human development process from infancy to childhood and adolescence to adulthood and aging. Through a broad theoretical and empirical approach, students explore the entire life cycle although they can focus on various age periods or aspects of development. Careers can include academic positions or research positions with laboratories, biomedical schools or other applied settings as well as positions with policy research firms, government agencies, or NPOÕs.
