Medical Doctor programs involve the diagnosis, care and management of patients, as well as the discussion of high moral and ethical standards of behavior. The field focuses on scientific knowledge, clinical reasoning skills, and the principles of health and disease. Students can concentrate in many different areas, including neurology, internal medicine, acute care, ambulatory medicine, obstetrics, family practice and cardiology. They will study anatomy, standardized patient programs, organ system review, biochemistry, genetics and surgery. They will hone their research, critical thinking and analytical, interpersonal and technical skills. Graduates can become radiologists, family practitioners, anesthesiologists, pathologists, neurologists and more.
