Human Services is a broad field which encompasses human, social and public sector jobs that provide a variety of services to specific portions of the population. The goal is to educate students to work with children, adolescents and families. Students will gain multicultural perspectives in child and family relationships and diverse research methodologies. They will learn how to plan strategies to improve human services programming. Human services majors will develop their communication, analytical, interpersonal and information technology skills. Graduates can go on to careers as caseworkers, parole officers, social service agents, social workers, life-skills counselors and more.
