About the field of Community Counseling: Community counselors are often needed in the most difficult of situations. For sometimes there are events whose effects are felt well beyond those directly affected by it. In cases like this, a community counselor will have to use all of his or her training in psychology , conflict resolution, consciousness , and stress management to help those suffering in these situations. Indeed, while this is often considered an difficult field, and one that demands much of its practitioners, it is also one of the most rewarding. Community counselors truly have the power and the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of those who are suffering.
