The mission of the graduate programs in Bible at Hazelip School of Theology is to help students deepen their relationship with God and to equip them for service in the kingdom of God. A great need exists in the world today for men and women who can model a deep, healthy relationship with God and who possess the knowledge and skills to minister in the context of a complex and rapidly-changing world.
Our most comprehensive degree, the Master of Divinity (M.Div.), addresses all of these areas. Consequently, the M.Div. has traditionally been considered to provide the best preparation for ministry. It is required for ordination in many religious bodies, as well as for service in fields such as chaplaincy. It is typically a prerequisite for the Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) degree, and in recent years it has also become a requirement for entrance into some Ph.D. programs.
Hazelip School of Theology is an Associate Member of the Association of Theological Schools (ATS). ATS is the preeminent accrediting body for graduate theological education in the United States.
