The Master of Music enhances and refines students' knowledge of the subject s well as instructional skills and strategis through performance, research, and teaching, while employing the latest curriculum trends, methodologies, and technologies. The School of Music is accredited by Middle States, National Council for teh Accreditation of Teacher Education, Pennsylvania Department of Education, and National Association of Schools of Music. The Kodaly and Orff-Schulwerk program concentrations are accredited by the Organization of American Kodaly Educators and American Orff-Schulwerk Association, respectively, and music education technology concentration meets certification requirements of TI:ME.
The Music Library houses more than 25,000 volumes of musice in various formats and a collection of more than 25,000 sound recordings, and state-of-the-art equipment and materials in the technological laboratories and music education resource room.
