The Graduate Studies Diploma introduces students to a focused study of the Scriptures, theology, and ministry skill, without the need complete an entire master’s degree. It provides a well-rounded foundation of biblical education and ministry skills helpful for those serving in support roles, missions work or bi-vocational ministries. Should a student choose to expand their training, the diploma program may be used as the first year of the Master of Divinity, M.A. (Biblical and Theological Studies), M.A. (Intercultural Studies), or M.A. in Ministry and Leadership programs.
This program is intentionally compact and accessible for the purpose of helping each student to prepare for specific area of ministry. Choose from one of the following tracks (or consider building one with an advisor through the Open Track option): Bible and Theology, Ministry, or Pastoral Care to Women.
Western Seminary is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) and the Association of Theological Schools (ATS), the accrediting body for theological schools in the United States and Canada.
