The body of research in integrative medicine has grown over recent decades. This research spans multiple disciplines from medicine, nursing, and psychology to exercise, creative arts, and complementary/alternative medicine. Designing research that aims to capture holistic approaches used in integrative medicine is challenging. The graduate certificate in integrative medicine research explores the art and science of research on integrative medicine. Students learn to identify effective research methodologies, compare and contrast measurement tools, interpret research results, and operationalize the broader concept of integrative medicine into measurable outcomes applicable to clinical practice.
