Graduate Certificate in Agricultural Biosecurity and Food Defense, Graduate Certificate in Homeland Security and Defense
Penn State's online master of professional studies in homeland security is unique in that it offers a base program and four options from which to choose, allowing you to tailor your studies to complement your strengths and interests, while receiving comprehensive education towards unified learning objectives and one comprehensive academic degree.
The base program speaks to the core of the profession of homeland security and field of homeland security studies. It is intended for those professionals interested in developing and managing homeland security programs at all levels of government, including the broader community of homeland security partners both domestic and internationally. The specialized options are best suited for those professionals that are interested in having a deep understanding of specific sets of homeland security policies, along with expertise in the technical skill areas required by employers in their profession.
Our graduate certificates cover most of the core courses of each specialized option in the master's degree, so you can choose to complete your graduate certificate first, and then transfer the applicable earned credits to the master's program.
