The Concordia University - Portland M.Ed. degree program in Advanced Study in Special Education (non-endorsement) is specifically designed for experienced K-12 teachers and other professionals licensed and/or qualified to serve students eligible for special education services, and who want to deepen their expertise or advance to leadership roles in this field. The Advanced Study in Special Education M.Ed. curriculum goes beyond the scope of initial or general special education licensure programs. Candidates will study the latest in advanced special education theory as the basis for developing the specialized evidence-based knowledge, skills and critical thinking needed to become highly professional, ethically focused transformational Special Education leaders in the classroom and in the community.
