The graduate programs offered by the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences provide instruction and research training in diverse aspects of drug action including drug analysis, delivery, disposition, and mechanism of effect. These subjects are examined at the molecular, biochemical, biological, and clinical levels through an interdisciplinary curriculum that is individualized to the needs of each incoming student. The program involves clinical as well as laboratory research in the areas of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, dosage form design, physiochemical and biological aspects of drug action, drug metabolism, and drug toxicity.

International Student Requirements:
UB SoPPS requires TOEFL or TSE scores for non-native English speaking applicants. If a non-U.S. citizen or non-permanent resident applicant passes a preliminary review by the Admissions Committee, they will be required to submit the following: an application to the University at Buffalo's (SUNY) Office of International Admissions, International Student Financial Form, an original bank statement, a copy of the student’s passport, and official academic transcripts or a certified translated copy if the original document is not in the English language.Please note: receiving a letter of acceptance to the program does not finalize acceptance to the University.
