Through the expertise of its faculty and innovation of its curriculum, Old Westbury offers an M.S. in Taxation that prepares both accounting and non-accounting professionals to advance in or begin a wide range of careers in accounting and business. The program's objective goes beyond technical training in accounting practices. The Old Westbury faculty encourages students to integrate technical knowledge with ethical judgment - with analytical skills that can be adapted to the ever-changing American business climate - and with the ability to communicate with others for the betterment of their organizations and themselves.
The members of the faculty of M.S. in Taxation program were selected because they are outstanding classroom instructors who also are available to share their expertise with you on an individual level. They have published scholarly papers in leading business periodicals, served on editorial boards, and served as consultants to leading organizations worldwide. In addition to their credentials as scholars, most of our faculty have achieved high levels of success in public accounting, corporate financial management, or as entrepreneurs. As evidence of their professional accomplishments, accounting faculty members hold a variety of certifications, including Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
