M.A.- Fashion and Textile Studies: History, Theory, Museum Practice
The Fashion and Textile studies program prepares students to work with historic textiles and costume. Students have the option of pursuing either a curatorial or conservation emphasis. Regardless of emphasis, students take courses across a wide range of subjects, including connoisseurship and historical research, technical analysis, collections management, exhibition practice, and conservation and handling issues.
The Fashion Institute of Technology is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, the National Association of Schools of Art and Design, and the Council for Interior Design Accreditation.
