The Master of Arts in Learning Disabilities - Teacher of Student with Disabilities is a 38 credit, graduate level program designed for individual who possess a Standard Teaching Certificate or a Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing in a general education instructional area(s). Individuals completing this program obtain the Jersey Teacher of Students with Disabilities certification, while pursuing a Master of Arts Degree. Program Completers are certified to teach students with disabilities in general education classroms and/or resourse centers/special class programs in the subject area(s) for which they earned their general education certification(s).
The Master of Arts in Learning Disabilities - Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant is a 38 credit, graduate level program designed for individuals who possess a standard teaching certificate or Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing and will have at least 3 years of teaching experience prior to completing the program. Individuals completing this program obtain the New Jersey endorsement as learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant and are prepared to serve in this capacity in local school districts as a member of the child study team or in private practice.
