The rapidly evolving and highly competitive sports industry requires professionals–agents, coaches, managers, media, event coordinators, and others–with the skills to plan, manage, organize, budget, fundraise, and market the complex organizations involved in sports, recreation, and leisure. Mount St. Mary's Univerisity is the only university in the State of Maryland to offer a Master of Science in Sport Management (MSSM) out of the Richard J. Bolte, Sr. School of Business. The program is adaptable for both students wishing to begin a new job in the sports industry, as well as seasoned professionals looking to advance their current career. The program is part-time and designed for the working adult. Classes meet one night a week for 8 weeks at the Frederick Campus.
