The Department of Cellular Biology and Anatomy offers research-intensive training leading to M.S. and Ph.D. degrees. Students first complete a graduate core curriculum in biochemistry, cellular biology, and organ systems biology (anatomy, physiology and pharmacology) and advanced courses that provide the background needed to write and defend an NIH-style proposal serving as the basis for the thesis or dissertation. The specific training program can be tailored to each student's research interests. All Ph.D. students receive a stipend and a tuition waiver.
