This program is designed for those who are seeking to refine job-related psychological skills and knowledge. Students can specialize in mental health counseling, child and adolescent counseling, or school guidance.
Goals for the program follow the recommendations of the American Counseling Association and meet the state of Illinois requirements so that students can sit for counseling licensing exams.
International Student Requirements:
Certified their proficiency in reading and writing English by achieving a 550 on the written exam or a 213 on the computerized exam for the applicant’s nationality group on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). (Applicable only if student is from a non-English speaking country.)
